About ESPS

Engineering Sponsored Program Services (ESPS) is the research group housed within the College of Engineering offering direct support to department and center principal investigators and administrators.  ESPS is responsible for all sponsored research proposal submissions, award negotiations, and award monitoring through closeout in the College of Engineering for all federal, non-profit and for-profit organizations.  ESPS works in close collaboration with the University’s Office of Research to ensure compliance and to put forth Engineering’s best efforts to win awards.

ESPS has a core team of 10 Sponsored Programs Officers (SPOs), including a Director leading the charge. Their team currently manage and oversee roughly 1,225 active projects with an estimated value of $320M in research funds, and submit approximately 1,000 proposals annually.
